The Muckleford Cricket Club embarked on an exciting and ambitious project to construct brand-new clubrooms at the historic Mapson/Timmins Oval. This community-driven effort was fueled entirely by club-generated funds, demonstrating the strong dedication and support of the club’s members and local community.
Construction officially began in mid-2008, with a special ceremony where George Mapson, one of the founding fathers of the Mapson/Timmins Oval, had the honor of turning the first sod of soil. The project was carried out over the course of several weeks, with a large team of enthusiastic volunteers coming together to make the dream of modern, state-of-the-art clubrooms a reality.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of these volunteers, the Muckleford Cricket Club now boasts top-tier facilities that serve as a central hub for both players and supporters. The slideshows below highlights various stages of the construction process, showcasing the hard work and dedication that went into building these new clubrooms.
